Our Deejay guests are world travelers, visiting mixmasters, sound artists, and music enthusiasts in and around NYC, bringing their unique sounds to our station in the heart of Queens. Whether vinyl or digital, they engage us with their sets so stay tuned for incredible musical journeys, showcasing the diverse cultures that make our borough so vibrant. Yurk is a Puerto Rican-born, Brooklyn-based DJ, producer, and organizer known for blending Latin, house, techno, and jazz-infused electronic music, while staying deeply connected to his Caribbean roots. A mainstay in New York’s underground scene, he’s played venues like Good Room, Cafe Balearica, and Eavesdrop, among others. He curates the all-vinyl ¡Saoco! parties, celebrating Caribbean and Afro-Latin dance sounds, and holds a monthly residency at Suono with his Sangre Nueva party every first Saturday. In addition, Yurk runs Organized Disorder, a Brooklyn-based record label and event collective focused on pushing genre-bending, community-driven dance music His 2024 debut LP Delay Tech (Chomp! Chomp!) showcases his genre-fluid, percussion-driven sound and adventurous approach to electronic music. Through his work behind the decks, in the studio, and as a community organizer, Yurk continues to expand Brooklyn’s dancefloor culture with bold, eclectic, Caribbean-flavored energy.
