Commuity Pop-Up Event Memorabilia Berdisco is a collaborative project between The Memorabilia Tour and Disconesia, introducing the sonic legacy of Indonesia’s 70s–90s funk, disco, pop, and psychedelia to NYC and the world. Based in Elmhurst, Queens, home to one of NYC’s largest Indonesian communities, the project is about sharing music that shaped generations, and seeing how it lives on in today’s diaspora.

Launched in tandem with Indonesia’s 80th year of independence, Memorabilia Berdisco kicks off its NY events with this surprise popup activation at Los Herederos Radio Headquarters in Jackson Heights, a neighborhood at the crossroads of global migration. Featuring DC-based Disconesia (Satrio Hammami), an Indonesian DJ/selector, together we’re celebrating the rhythms, stories, and spirit of Indonesia through musical archives and diaspora community in NYC.
