Cedar & Seeds / Chief Justice Robert Yazzie

The Mazorca Collective presents Cedar and Seeds, a series of intergenerational interviews between young people (BIPOC, Indigenous, and/or migrants) and older community members to preserve life stories, traditions, and experiences, while promoting mutual understanding between generations. Today’s pilot features Chief Justice Robert Yazzie from the Navajo Nation in conversation with hosts María, Joao and Mike, three young adults from different backgrounds. The young will explore the life and expertise of the Chief Justice, as he is one of the most respected voices of Restorative Justice work today.

Mazorca Colectiva creates these space to build bridges between the ancestral knowledge of elders, and the energy and curiosity of the young ones. In these times of confusions, the voice and legacy of the elders, should guide the the people.
