Deejay Guest / Tenosh
Our Deejay guests are world travelers, visiting mixmasters, sound artists, and music enthusiasts in and around NYC, bringing their unique sounds to our station in the heart of Queens. Whether vinyl or digital, they engage us with their sets so stay tuned for incredible musical journeys, showcasing the diverse cultures that make our borough so vibrant. Today’s guest, Joshua Lucio Lasso also know as Tenosh, is a Los Angeles – raised DJ and vinyl archivist whose sets explore the emotional and cultural depths of the Latinx and immigrant experience. Blending genres like garage, boogaloo, Chicano and Jamaican oldies, Tenosh creates what he calls “the sound of the diaspora” -a raw, romantic fusion of the past and present. Known for his Noche Romántica series and global performances, he draws from deep vinyl cuts to build specs of collective memory. His mixes reflect a loved hybridity: unpolished, heartfelt, and unapologetically rooted in the traditions of first-generation voices.
