In this episode we chat with Karlala, best known as the proprietor of the bright pink sound system seen all over NYC. Karlala grew up amidst the San Francisco Bay Area rave explosion of 1990s before moving to NYC in 2003 and has been close to the music ever since as a dancer, producer, DJ, sound engineer, synth designer, and organizer as one third of the party Sweet Kicks. His custom built, high fidelity club system powers outdoor events across the city. The system is community focused and supports local organizers, free events, and caters to a wide range of communities in NYC.
